Mr. Cochran, President and co-founder of Clearwater, manages new business initiatives and product development. He also serves as a member of the Investment Committee and takes the lead on Clearwater’s sustainability and philanthropic initiatives. Mr. Cochran’s vast experience includes the placement, processing, and closing of commercial financing and property acquisition and maintains an expansive book of nationwide lending relationships.
As co-founder of a previous commercial finance brokerage firm, Mr. Cochran negotiated large scale affiliate relationships with Bond Street Capital and Nationwide Commercial Funding. These relationships allowed his team to successfully place debt as a direct lender which provided them with a significant competitive edge in the market. He also worked at a prominent national real estate syndicate where he obtained experience in TIC financial structuring, sales coordination and one-off specialty transactions.
Mr. Cochran graduated with a finance degree from the University of Idaho. He is a regular volunteer at CityLight, a women's and children's center run by the Boise Rescue Mission. He is a recipient of the Idaho Business Review’s 2009 Idaho Accomplished Under 40, serves on the board of directors of The Re-Use market, a volunteer organization and Mission Ready, a global outreach non-profit. Bart and his wife Tracy reside in Boise, Idaho.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Hansen is responsible for the financial operations and controls, corporate and strategic planning, internal audit and supervision for Clearwater. He has a successful track record in the commercial real estate industry encompassing all aspects of finance and management. Prior to Clearwater, Mr. Hansen was a partner in a commercial finance brokerage firm where he successfully placed permanent debt for income producing properties and land/development projects for a large book of clients.
Mr. Hansen also spent a period of time at a national real estate syndicate where he directly obtained industry experience on TIC financial structuring, long term financing and planning, operations and sales coordination. Over the past five years, Mr. Hansen has been directly involved in the placement and closing of commercial real estate financing, with much of this taking place through private placement offerings. Chad currently maintains relationships with insurance companies, portfolio lenders, investment banks and private lenders and focuses on the relationship and understanding of banks and their performance in today’s market.
Chad spends his personal time with various recreation programs for children, teens and adults with the City of Boise and serves on the Board of Directors for Meals on Wheels, a non-profit organization in Boise, Idaho. He has a passion for the outdoors and enjoys spending his free time fly fishing and hunting. Chad is a graduate of the College of Business and Economics at Boise State University and holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree.
Director of Sales and Broker Dealer Relations
Pete Cooper is the Director of Sales and Broker Dealer Relations and is also responsible for direct sales in the Midwest and Eastern Regions. In this role, he oversees Clearwater’s sales, including establishing and maintaining relationships with FINRA Broker Dealersand their registered representatives.
He conducts educational seminars for real estate professionals, attorneys, CPA’s and FINRA registered representatives. In addition, he consults with registered representatives and their clients concerning Section 1031 exchange offerings.
Mr. Cooper has more than 30 years of experience in the securities industry and joined Clearwater in June of 2008. Before joining Clearwater, Pete was Vice President of the Midwest Region for a prominent national real estate syndicate for over six years and was an officer and/or securities principal with several FINRA member firms. He also held sales and management positions, specializing in private investments, for William Blair & Company and E.F. Hutton & Co., both in Chicago, Illinois.
Mr. Cooper holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses, an MBA from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and a BA in economics from Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin.
Mr. Cooper is an active participant at the EMMAUS House of Hospitality in Illinois.
Assistant Vice President, Sales
Rachell McColly is an Assistant Vice President of Sales for Clearwater Real Estate Invest-ments, complimenting the outside sales efforts of Rob Ruebel and Robert Spence. Prior to joining Clearwater, Ms. McColly was an Internal Wholesaler for a prominent national real estate syndicate covering the Southwest region where she helped to raise more
than $123 million of capital in a three year period. Ms. McColly holds FINRA Series 22 and 63 licenses.
A fourth generation Idahoan, Ms. McColly studied Biology at Boise State University, served with Idaho Mountain Search and Rescue, and currently enjoys hiking in the Boise foothills, volunteering at the Ruth Melichar Bird Center, organic gardening, entomology, and spending time with her extended family.
Anneliese Carley has an extensive background in the finance industry, but her focus in the last two years has been construction lending and commercial real estate lending and investment. Mrs. Carley has experience in placing, processing, closing, and loan servicing on residential, con-struction and commercial loans.
Prior to her work at Clearwater REI, she began her career with Washington Mutual where she dealt with all aspects of banking. After five years with the company, she moved on to Idaho Mutual Trust, where she gained knowledge of construction and commercial lending. Mrs. Carley then entered the tenant-in-common industry, working for TIC Capital focusing on investor relations. Mrs. Carley is currently working to finish her Bachelors of Business Administration degree at Boise State University.
Director of Marketing & Investor Relations
Ross Farris is the Director of Marketing and Investor Relations for Clearwater Real Estate Investments. Mr. Farris is responsible for the development and management of Clearwater's marketing, closing and investor services initiatives. Mr. Farris is focused on the constant improvement of the procedures Clearwater uses to keep it's investors and
respective representatives informed and setting the standard for customer service, reliability and transparency throughout their entire experience beginning with the initial contact to the profitable liquidation of their investment.
Mr. Farris' career encompasses diverse experiences in all facets of real estate sales, marketing, transactional processing and investor services within the real estate securities industry. Mr. Farris understands the overriding importance of providing top-shelf service to investors and their respected representatives as part of the quality products offered within Clearwater's diverse portfolio of investment products.
Prior to joining Clearwater, Mr. Farris held executive positions for two sponsor companies where he was instrumental in establishing and executing their go-to-market strategies and initial product launch while managing the sales, marketing, broker-dealer relations, closing and investor services functions effectively and efficiently.
Mr. Farris holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Business Management and is a licensed real estate professional in the state of Idaho.
Director of Underwriting & Asset Management
Dan Welker has a successful track record in underwriting both income properties and land development projects. He is also an accomplished individual real estate investor.
Prior to joining Clearwater REI Dan was the Director of Underwriting and Asset Management at TIC Capital in Boise, ID. He also has more
than ten years' progressively responsible experience in risk-strategy consulting and portfolio management for KPMG Peat Marwick, Capital One, and Wells Fargo.
Dan is an active volunteer leader for the Boy Scouts of America and holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Brigham Young University.
As an acquisitions analyst for Clearwater Real Estate Investments, Mr. Barney works closely with the Director of Underwriting and Asset Management to insure that all properties acquired by Clearwater are of the highest quality and provide the returns that Clearwater and its clients demand.
Prior to joining the Clearwater team, Mr. Barney was Project Manager for a real estate development firm in Salt Lake City, Utah where he managed a large high rise condo conversion, along with several other projects.
Travis graduated from the Brigham Young University Marriott School of Management with a degree in finance and an emphasis in real estate.
As controller, Ms. Fischer is responsible for all aspects of the financial reporting for Clearwater Real Estate Investments which includes; financial statements, legal compliance, accounts payable investor payments, and payroll.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, with a degree in accounting, Ms.
Fischer has worked in several industries, including real estate, health care, banking and retail. She has spent much of her career developing and streamlining processes and procedures.
Ms. Fischer frequently serves as Treasurer of her homeowner’s association and supports Habitat for Humanity.
M. Andrew (Andy) Cude is an innovator and leader with a proven track record in the hospitality, recreation and real estate development industries. He serves in an advisory role for Clearwater Real Estate Investments and is the primary consultant for ground up development projects. His roles include site selection, conceptual design, site planning, design reviews, pre-development budgets and schedules, team recruitment, contracts and contract negotiations. He has personally managed individual projects with budgets well into the eight digit range and cumulatively into nine digits. The current market value of these assets exceeds $250 million and produces annual revenues well into the eight digit range.
He has extensive knowledge in the area of planning, design and start-up of developments, clubs and resorts. During his 25 year career he has developed a proven track record of successful operational and fiscal turn-arounds of multiple properties, directly hired, trained and managed over 500 team members and has received numerous awards and recognitions within his specialized industries. He has unique experience as a designer, project manager, operations specialist and vested partner in both Domestic and International clients and ventures.
Mr. Cude is the founder and President of MAC Design and Development; a recreation, hospitality and residential design / development / consulting company located in Eagle, Idaho and Carmel, California; the Managing Member of Clearwater-MAC Development, LLC, a joint venture between MAC Design and Development and Clearwater Lodging Development based in Eagle, ID formed for the purpose of developing four residential communities totaling over 4,000 acres in southern Idaho.
